Briefing Note re Consultation on proposed regulations and objections under Schedule 1A to the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act 1949, as inserted under Schedule 19 to the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009.
Members will be aware that the Society has been campaigning for equestrian access to the English coast. The Marine and Coastal Access Act unfortunately only legislates for access on foot, however, the Society continues to work to ensure that equestrian access is provided along the new route wherever this can be negotiated.
